Stupid data is lost

Postby mrgenius » Sun Nov 02, 2008 10:21 pm

I'm pretty sure this is the second time this has happened to me now.

It has happened since this spring when I converted my database to SQL. I'm not blaming the SQL it can be incidental contact as they say in the NFL.

Both times it related to Stars and the patch update. In the old days (not sure when to define them, pre pokertracker 3/) I always got the message that poker tracker is up to date or searching for updates. It's not doing that now. So there is twice when I've updated hands and it shows imported 76 files 3000 plus hands were not imported.

My question is what do I do to get that data?

I have all my hands moved to my processed folder on my computer, probably over a million hands since I've never moved or cleaned it up. Do I need to have it import those? There might be 5000 new hands and 995,000 duplicates. How long would that take? What else can I do?

The very latest beta patch is here:
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=12310

If you only play PokerStars then you should only need to move the hand files dated from September 1st and newer back to your PokerStars hand history folder. Then force the import on the auto-import window. It will ignore the duplicates but could still take awhile depending of how many hands it has to read through. Just let it go until it finishes.

I play Pokerstars about 50% and Absolute 50% Full Tilt about 10%

Any advice on what to do now. And I know this is 110%

Do what I said with PokerStars first. That will probably pick up the missing hands. I don't think there was a problem with those other sites. at least not in some time. If you still think there is a problem let me know.
