How to import a big number of hands?

Ive requested all my hand histories from PS and theyve sent me them in packages containing from about 13K hands each.The problem is that after importing for a while PTO moves to "doesnt respond" mode and thats it.Do you know how to somehow solve this problem?

You shouldn't try to import that many hands form one file. Open PTO and use Utilities > File Splitter... to break the big file into multiple smaller files. If you don't do that step and just try to import the big file it will take forever and probably cause your computer to run out of memory. Do that for each large hand file they sent you.

After splitting the big files, move ONLY the smaller files to your PokerStars hand history folder. Then open the PokerStars auto-import window and click the Force Import button to import the hands. It will take awhile depending on how many hands there are so just let it run until it finishes.
