Ongame import issues

Postby davidfdowning » Mon Aug 18, 2008 9:32 am

Hi

I'm struggling with import issues for Ongame. Sometimes I can get a few hands in, after that, no joy. I've ticked the import issue box and installed the DB thing as well. But no luck.

cheers

What version of PTO? What do the error messages say?

1.13.01.

The messages say:

File name: C:\Program Files\MansionPoker\Resources\Databases\PR_HH_20080818_143200.txt
Error Msg: Import Error - Error in function of_PlayerWinnings(). Unable to find the winning player for game #551990
and
Error Msg: Error finding the pre-flop action for game #P4-74429853-491.
and
Error Msg: Error finding the blinds for game #P4-74429853-442.

and others of a similar ilk.

cheers

This indicates the Ongame database file you have PTO importing from is corrupted.

Under the Statistics menu on the lobby window you need to select "Advanced" > "Create Statistics File". Give it a name and then it will start to use a different file than the one that is corrupted. In Poker Tracker Omaha, on the File/Auto-Import PokerRoom (and skins) Hand Histories window click the Configure Hand History Files button and tell PTO about this new file. Note also that you can delete the pointer to the older db file so PTO doesn't keep trying to look at that each time and continue giving errors.

I tried this and it improved somewhat, but I still seem plagues wih sporadic import issues. SOme hands get through, some don't. Lot's of cann't find blinds/players/dealer errors.

Any suggestions?

I don't know why but every so often we see an OnGame issue like this with a certain player. It may be that your computer is having disconnect problems, even very small ones that you won't notice while playing, but they will be large enough to cause the OnGame program to create incomplete data in their statistics file.

Make sure your internet connection is solid. Check wiring, etc. and call your internet service provider to see if there is anything they can do.
